BLOG REPORT #6, December
My last monthly blog report!
First of all I wish you a Happy New Year with many adventures and stories. If you wonder why this is my last monthly blog report, lean back and listen :). It is always our aim to write posts with a high quality no matter if it is about travelling or golf or our blogging life. The truth is, my last blog reports where okay but it is hard for me to tell you something new every month. Of course I can point out our lasts posts etc. but this is not the reason why you read my blog reports. You want facts about blogging in general, tips for your own blogging career and, of course, see how we perform with BoB. I will still update you with all those information but in 2015 I will write my reports every 3 months.
Also, I am now writing 6 long posts about blogging and hope to give, especially new bloggers, some tips for their blogging career. The upcoming posts will deal with the 6 most important steps about how to create a good travel blog including some decent information and helpful tips.
Last month achievements and statistics
BoB was published with 6 pages in the biggest German golf magazine GOLF JOURNAL. They have about 300,000 monthly readers and I am pretty sure a lot of golfers in Germany know BoB now. We got some nice e-mails and feedback but to be honest the publication had almost no effects on our figures. The reasons are simple. First of all, it is a German magazine and our blog is written in English. Many Germans don’t like to read English texts… we are kind of spoiled because usually everything is translated into German That also explains the high bounce rate in December.
Another reason is the way to get to our blog. We had some QR codes and, of course, also the blog adress in the magazine, but people are lazy and they just visit our blog if they find BoB really hilarious. We hoped to get some more visits and facebook fans but, hey, it is a good start and we haven’t started our “Marketing Masterplan :)” yet. It is good for us to try out everything first on the German market and to “practice and test” before we spread BoB all over the world!

Goals for 1st quarter 2015
As you probably know, we are back in Germany for a few weeks. We will use the time to visit friends and family but also to work on our blog. We have about 35 posts that we want to publish until we travel on. We will visit the ITB in Berlin to meet other bloggers and travellers but the main goal is to set up our business plan for BoB and to follow our plan constantly. It is sometimes hard for us to wake up every morning at 8am to start working when there is no real pressure to do so. This has to change
